Don Lemon Arrested
Don Lemon was arrested for his involvement in the St. Paul Church incident
I want to begin by saying that the First Amendment DOES NOT protect against unlawful assembly, which is what happened on January 18th, 2026.
Don Lemon has been arrested for his involvement in the St. Paul Church and the left is having a hissy fit over a guy that thinks saying he is a “journalist” and I write that in quotes because he is no journalist, what he is in my opinion is a full blown anti-Trump and anti-American THUG!
Let’s go through the timeline of the events that have lead to his being arrested (I did a search using Duck Duck Go’s AI and searched using the following parameters: “Give a non bias timeline of the events that lead to Don Lemon being arrested”):
Jan 18, 2026 — Protest at Cities Church, St. Paul, Minn.: Anti‑ICE demonstrators entered and disrupted a Sunday service at Cities Church (whose pastor is also an ICE field officer). Don Lemon livestreamed and conducted interviews inside and outside the church, saying he was reporting as a journalist. (My notes: Keeping in mind prior to going in he was with the organizers of the protest and so his claim that he did not have prior knowledge is an outright falsehood in other words he lied.)
Jan 18–22, 2026 — Immediate aftermath: Local tensions rise after federal agents fatally shot two protesters in separate incidents in the Minneapolis area earlier that month. Authorities identify multiple people involved in the church action; prosecutors consider charging several participants.
Jan 22, 2026 — Initial arrests in Minnesota: Local activists (including Nekima Levy Armstrong and Chauntyll Louisa Allen) are arrested in connection with the church incident; prosecutors seek broader arrests.
Mid‑late Jan 2026 — Federal charging effort and magistrate review: Federal prosecutors seek arrest warrants for eight people, including Lemon, under a statute protecting participation in religious worship. A federal magistrate judge in Minnesota reviews evidence and declines to approve arrest warrants for Lemon and some others, finding insufficient evidence of conspiracy to deprive religious freedom.
Jan 23, 2026 — Public statements by DOJ officials: Senior Justice Department figures publicly criticize the protest and say the department will pursue those who disrupted the church. Attorney General Pam Bondi and other officials characterize the incident as an attack on the church; one official reportedly labeled Lemon an “online agitator.”
Following magistrate decision — DOJ appeals attempt: The Justice Department petitions a federal appeals court to compel issuance of additional arrest warrants for Lemon and others; that request is denied.
Jan 29–30, 2026 — Arrests executed: Federal agents arrest Don Lemon in Los Angeles (while he was covering the Grammy Awards) and arrest three others, including independent journalist Georgia Fort and Minnesota residents Trahern Jeen Crews and Jamael Lydell Lundy, based on a federal grand jury indictment tied to the Jan. 18 church protest. The FBI and Homeland Security Investigations confirm the arrests; DOJ officials publicly announce them.
Jan 30, 2026 — Statements and responses: Lemon’s attorney (Abbe Lowell) says Lemon was acting as a journalist and will vigorously contest charges; press freedom advocates and public officials issue competing statements condemning or defending the arrests. Charging documents with full counts and evidentiary detail have not been publicly released at the time of these reports.
Now here is what I have to say regarding this; first Don Lemon is NOT a real journalist, he was fired by CNN and he credibility as a ”journalist” is dubious and the fact that he is trying to use being a journalist to shield himself from criminal prosecution is laughable because the law does not care and I say this is because if you are involved in a crime being a journalist is not a defense if anything it is what the prosecution will and rightly so point out first amendment is not something one can use to be absolved of a crime, freedom of speech and freedom of the press is not nor has it ever in the history of this country been a legal get out of jail free card.
I am an Independent Journalist, if I did what Don Lemon did I would be in the same trouble he is now, no ifs, ands or buts.
But for someone like Don Lemon he thinks that using his being an alleged journalist will automatically give him a “Get out of jail free card”, as I said it will not nor will it ever. And I will state for the record he deserves what he is getting, like I have said on the podcast (FIREFOXNEWS ONLINE™) many times “you do the crime, you do the time”.
If this had been anyone else keep in mind I cannot on the top of my head recall when a journalist was arrested for participating in a violent protest such as this in fact my knowledge and I may be wrong and if I am I will own up to it, but again no legitimate journalist would ever put himself or herself in this position and what Don Lemon did is disgrace legitimate journalism and I firmly believe that he deserves to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law I will say this again and again and again just because someone is a journalist that does not give them a get out of jail free card when they commit a criminal act.
There are legitimate independent journalists in this world today that actually do the job of real journalism and folks like Don lemon, Joe Scarborough, Mika Brzezinski, Jake Tapper just to name a few are a danger to the field and the integrity of actual journalism and the reason CNN and MS Now are failing in the cable ratings is because of their bombastic dripping with acid rhetoric because they’re saying the same garbage as the Democrats do and what’s a stark reality for many on the left and it should be a stark wake-up call for them as well is that you don’t get to commit a crime and then when you get arrested whether you’re an actual journalist or not you can’t scream racism playing the race card, you can’t scream political prisoner because you’re not and you certainly as I’ve said so far many times cannot use being a journalist in the hopes that you will be protected by the First Amendment because you commit a crime the First Amendment is not going to protect you from prosecution it is just that simple.
I have advice for independent journalists out there whoever you are and wherever you are remember always that we have responsibility to be as honest and truthful and are reporting as humanly possible and that we must always remember journalism 101 and that is report the story never become part of the story.
I will be monitoring this story closely and will have a lot to unpack I am sure for the Monday February 2nd, 2026 night time podcast.
